This website is a hoot -- definitely for those who prefer to take their holiday cheer with just a wee bit of schadenfreude. ;-)
I get the feeling that Mickey and Margaret will especially get a laugh out of it, but there's plenty of room for the mirth of all (particularly you newer parents out there). Enjoy!

Wendi,
I couldn't find the story through your link, but the picture you posted says it all.
What could be more terrifying to a young child than a big fat old man with a gigantic beard in a red suit bellowing "Ho, Ho, Ho!"and asking you to come sit on your lap, because he knows if you've been naughty or nice? I'd flee the scene myself.
And yet Santa has become oddly the symbol of childhood innocence and Christmas cheer.
I'm not a big fan of the Big Fella myself. Santa ain't brought me nothing for years!
(But don't tell Goose. He still believes!)

What are you trying to say Mark? I don't understand what you are alluding to. Is it that all the Santas we see in the stores are not the real Santa because there is no way Santa could be sitting in all those mall at the same time. I know that he just hires them to act like him. Is that what you are talking about? Anyone who doesn't know that is crazy.

Ok folks, I fixed the link to the Scared of Santa site -- enjoy the comical, festive images of fear and loathing! :-D
I re-checked the link, and I'm glad I did.
My particular favorite is the eerily horrifying "paper mache" looking Santa. Evil personified.
Thanks. I haven't laughed like that in a long time--like a bowl full of jelly.
