One of the niftiest parts about this experience was that I was able to see my little guy/girls' heart beating (even if it's too soon to hear it just yet). There it was, fluttering right before my eyes like a thimble jellyfish -- an amazing and quite moving thing to see! I hope you all enjoy the images of this newest addition to clan Foster.

I think he or she resembles Matt a little. He/she has a very large head relative to his/her body.

Wendi, how exciting! I am sure that was an amazing experience, I am so happy for you guys. I can't wait to see you with a belly:)
Ad-Bad: The blob on the lower end of the fetus is actually the yolk sac, but yes; I'm expecting (and somewhat dreading) the experience of giving birth to another melon-headed Foster. ;-)
Kristen: I think a little bit of bellly is already happening, but that might just be from me eating too much. :-S In any case some belly photos are in the works!
YEA! Isn't that the most amazing experience?! And you'll definitely never get tired of seeing and hearing that little heart. It is such a miracle - the whole process. We are so thrilled for you guys and keep you and the little bean in our prayers daily. You're going to be a great mom!

Matt and I are very excited and curious about what's happening with the bean on any given day. We recently watched the National Geographic special "In The Womb" -- truly amazing 4-D ultrasound images & cgi, I highly reccomend it!

Glad to see the little lad or lass looking so good. Hope you are feeling well, too. A little Florida sunshine in the midst of a bitterly cold Colorado winter was probably good for everyone!
I can't speak for all Foster's, but my head is not a melon-headed Foster. I think I fit in the pointy shaped or jacked head category and I know that the little bean doesn't have such a head...hopefully.
Congrats you guys. What an addition to the Foster Fam. I look forward to rocking out with the little Guzy Guy. Oh I haven't told you that I expect him to be named after me so that I will be the favorite uncle. Wendi, Matt, make it happen for me. You can name him/her Drew because Drew is masculine or feminine, and not Goose because I think that is more girly. Love you guys. How was the sun?!!!!!
to the Moto Guzzi: Matt and I have come up with the perfect solution to the naming-after-Drew conundrum (and it seems that so far every Foster couple with child has had this to consider, given your continued recommendations to name the progeny after yourself). The answer:
Female: Goose
Male: Gander
