The latest ultrasound image

This was taken last Wednesday, at 25 weeks. I've added a few labels, as this one didn't come out as clear as some others in the past (and I only got one image to take home with me this time -- I guess they must be getting sick of me at the perinatologist's office, har). They estimated a fetal weight of 1lb 10oz, which (according to a chart I looked up online) is slightly ahead of the curve for Sy's current gestation. So long as he's healthy, I'm A-OK with it!

Ohhh....thanks for sharing! I am so in love with the little guy already. Can't wait for him to get on the outside so that we can all enjoy him! Okay, so I can and will wait. It was just an expression. :) No getting any crazy ideas, Simon, and coming to meet us any earlier than mid-September!

Glad to hear that everything is going so well! Any word on the placenta previa situation? I hope you are still enjoying pregnancy!

Actually, Sy is due on August 30th -- if he decides not to make an appearance until mid September, I may have to be sedated! ;-)

In the meantime, I keep telling him to just take it easy and enjoy the free ride while he can. I want him to have plenty of time to "cook" before he takes his place among the ever-increasing clan Foster!

As far as the previa goes, it seems that the placenta has migrated to 3 cm away from the cervix (sorry if that's TMI, guys, but I couldn't figure out any other way to say it). As such I'm not quite out of the woods yet but it's looking better for me than it did.

Oh, sorry! I definitely want to see the little man arriving WELL before mid-Sept then! Tyler will tell you that every single day past 37 weeks I felt like I was overdue...so I really apologize for wishing anything longer on you! :)

That sounds promising that the previa won't be a worry later on, then. That's wonderful! We'll keep our fingers crossed.

One can never divulge too much information about one's cervix, can one?

I, for one, appreciate the specifics. Your placenta will almost certainly continue its transcontinental migration and be free and clear by the time Aug 30th rolls around. Very nice pictures and labeling, by the way.

Amazing that he is a one lbs. fetus inside of you now, but that in another few months you'll be holding him on the outside, like I'm holding Justin right now, who is beginning to stir and appears to desire some milk, a commodity that sadly I cannot provide him, thus we must alert his mommy to the severity of the situation . . .

Thanks for the updates!

Wendi--

Such a good ultrasound image (and such nice labeling)! Before I had a baby of my own, I couldn't get much into people's ultrasound pics, but now I love them!! That's so cool to think that the little guy is alive inside there, wiggling around. Glad to hear everything is going well.
